STYLEIS. Who is your ultimate Fashion Icon?
Rebecca: I would have to say Marilyn Monroe. She was fierce, sexy and beautiful. She was the ultimate curvy girl who had it all. She made the high waisted bikini pretty famous and that is one of my summer must haves!
STYLEIS. What beauty staple couldn't you live without?
Rebecca: That's a really tricky question! It took me quite a while to decide but I think my answer is foundation. It makes me feel more confident and is a go to if i'm tired or feeling poorly to brighten my face up.
STYLEIS.Why is it so important to show that a beauty queen such as yourself, as a role model for her generation?
Rebecca: I think it is so important to teach women to empower each other. We should all work with each other and not against each other. There is a lot of negativity in the world but as females we should all unite and make each other feel great. I think that a lot of girls see beauty queens and assume that they are 100% prefect, which of course is not the case because nobody is. During my reign I want to teach this to women in my generation but also to the younger generations, who see me as a role model, and help girls and women everywhere embrace their bodies.
STYLEIS. Who or What is your best beauty influences?
Rebecca: I would have to say that since I was a little girl, my biggest beauty influence has been my Mum. I remember being young and watching her get ready to go out, putting her make up on and doing her hair, so I would do my hair and make up with her while listening to music and dancing around. My mum is effortlessly beautiful and has always taught me to embrace who I am and not change and that I have always lived by and will continue to.
STYLEIS. Why should your tomorrow be better than your today?
Rebecca. I believe that you should always strive to be a little better than you were yesterday. I think it's important because it keeps you focused and motivated. I also always think that I want to make a difference, I want to make an impact so everyday I will do something a little more than the day before to make that happen. You never know what is around the corner so you have to always live life to the fullest and do what makes you happy.
STYLEIS. Who is your ultimate famous female role in the industry and why?
Rebecca. That is such an easy question for me! it is Beyonce every time. She is such a beautiful, talented and kind soul. She can sing, dance and act which is incredible in itself but she is also an amazing role model to women. She empowers us and teaches us and to embrace who were are. From the beginning she has been about girl power and gender equality. I think it's so important for someone in the industry to promote that and teach us all how important that is. Her style is beautiful! The outfits she can pull off are to be different and bold; she oozes confidence. Not only is she all those things but she is so compassionate and does so much for charity and those less fortunate. She is an inspiration.
STYLEIS. How would you describe your own style?
Rebecca: I would say my style is quite modern and classy. I like to follow fashion and the trends but also like to put my own twist on it. But I think sometimes less is more, so I like to keep it simple and elegant.
STYLEIS. What is the first thing you did this morning?
Rebecca: The first thing I did was shower and then apply my make up before going to work as a carer.
STYLEIS. Mascara or Lipstick?
Rebecca: Wow, that's a difficult one! I think I would have to say lipstick. It allows you to be bold and add a splash of colour to any outfit.
STYLEIS. What is your favourite make up/beauty retail brand on the market at the moment?
Rebecca: There's so many great brands out there but I would say that my favourite at the moment is Illamasqua. I love this brand because they are cruelty free. I only use products and brands that are not tested on animals and this is one of them. I love their mascara and also their bright, beautiful lipsticks.
